The survey and assessment were carried out by AirHelp, which considered 78 airlines around the world, and five in the UK, to weigh in on which are the industry’s best. Here is the list of the top five UK airlines you must see. Together with their ranking and name is its overall average.

Top 10 World’s Best Airlines

England continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world but not enough to have the best airline in the world. Qatar Airways was considered as the number one in the global ranking versus of the other carrier. It is followed by Air Dolomiti from Italy and Austrian Airlines for the third place.

AirHelp, a flight delays compensation company that assessed this list, used three data sources to create its ranking. It applied information on on-time performance drawn from a number of different aviation databases, including the Civil Aviation Authority, and statistics on the airlines’ handling of compensation claims for flight delays from its own database. The quality ratings bestowed by Skytrax, a United Kingdom-based consultancy which runs an airline and airport review and ranking site, was also taken into account before each airline was then given a mark out of 10.

Further down the rankings, British airlines were scattered throughout the overall table. FlyBe came in 21st, while came 35th and easyJet came in at 62nd. Irish budget airline Ryanair placed 48th. According to the AirHelp ranking, Virgin Atlantic was the only British airline to improve its score since the last assessment made six months ago.
